The Grounded Method
Build a body that is calm, strong, adaptable, and capable under pressure
PRACTICE 1
THE GROUNDED ALIGMENT
Align • Stabilize • Reconnect
This phase focuses on restoring the body’s foundation through posture, alignment, breath, and awareness.
Using the stick primarily and simple coordination tools, we improve joint positioning, reduce unnecessary tension, and help the body rediscover natural movement.
The goal isn’t perfect posture.
It’s a body that organises itself more efficiently.
PRACTICE 2
Grounded Mobility & Locomotion
Move • Explore • Regulate
Once the body has a stronger foundation, we begin exploring movement in multiple directions and levels.
This phase develops mobility, coordination, tendon resilience, and adaptability through locomotion and ground movement patterns inspired by martial arts and natural human movement.
The objective is not flexibility.
It is a movement of freedom.
PRACTICE 3
Grounded Strength
Load • Stabilise • Integrate
Strength is introduced as an extension of movement rather than something separate from it.
Using rings, kettlebells, resistance bands, and medicine balls, we build resilient strength that transfers into everyday life and movement.
The focus is not isolated muscles.
It is integrated strength.
PRACTICE 4
The Grand Assembly
Express • Adapt • Create
This is where everything comes together.
The Grand Assembly is the expression phase of the Grounded Method, where posture, mobility, strength, and awareness merge into fluid movement.
Through martial movement, locomotion, transitions, and creative exploration, individuals develop their own movement language.
The goal is not to move like someone else.
The goal is to move like yourself.
